This article will focus on my vintage hockey cards including a great hockey card collection from the brands of Topps and O-Pee-Chee from the 1970's and 1980's, with rookie cards of both Mario Lemieux and Patrick Roy. The Mario Lemieux rookie card is from 1985-86 Topps, and the Patrick Roy rookie card is from 1986-87 O-Pee-Chee hockey. Vintage hockey cards in near mint or mint condition are highly sought after, and are worth premium values compared to cards in lesser condition, and in most cases the O-Pee-Chee vintage cards are worth more than their Topps counterparts, but in some cases Topps may be worth more. Pictured above is a rare rookie card of Patrick Roy from 1986-87 O-Pee-Chee hockey cards, #53 in the set and it is in fantastic, clean condition. This is a rarity from O-Pee-Chee, and this classic vintage rookie hockey card is worth $150 in the Beckett price guide.
Next we have my favorite hockey rookie card along with the Patrick Roy, it is a Mario Lemieux Topps rookie card from 1985-86 Topps Hockey, #9 in the set, wow! This is one of the most famous rookie cards ever, though Wayne Gretzky's is also very popular
This vintage basketball card is from when Moses Malone first played in the ABA, and his rookie card is highly sought after by collectors and has a current Beckett book value of $40 in this condition. It is a very clean card and is one of my favorite basketball rookie cards.
The card pictured just above here is an awesome Topps Bobby Hull hockey card from 1968-69 Topps, #16 in the set. The card has a book value of $50 per Beckett.
Next we have a vintage hockey card from the same year, 1968-69 Topps hockey, of Yvan Cournoyer, #62 in the set.
Next we have an awesome 1988-89 Topps Mario Lemieux card, #1 in the set, and it has a $5 book value.
Here we have a 1981-82 Topps rookie card of Kevin McHale, this is an awesome rookie of the former Boston Celtics great who teamed with Larry Bird.
To close the article out, we have three vintage hockey Topps and O-Pee-Chee. One is of Wayne Gretzky from the 1984-85 O-Pee-Chee subset, with the Art Ross Trophy winner being featured on this one. There is also another vintage hockey card from Topps in the 1970's.
